hda4 hda55 diskspace problems

Post by kornyman »

Hello!

I installed MCE and got hda1 hda2 hda3 and hda4. The first three are clear...but what is the hda4? I thougt it is the "f" drive of the xbox mit ext3 right? But what is it, when i mount the hda55 drive?
if have a 200,3 gb hd:

/dev/hda4 184430208 80432 174981224 1% /mnt/media
/dev/hda55 191285264 80936624 110348640 43% /mnt/fatx/f

where is the fault? the available space is imopssible it's over the 200GB. I have no files on both! Why is hda55 at 43%?
When i check the space over evo-x i get 100,6 gb free space...
is it possible that i write something on disk over evo-x without damaging
the ext3 hda4?
Is it possible to get some space (40gb) fatx which i can mount under mce and use it under evo-x.the rest should be ext3 for mp3s and mythtv.

THX

hda1 is boot
hda2 is swap
hda3 is root
hda4 is media

hda55 is fatx F (partition 6)

hda1-4 occupy the same space as hda55

If you had an F drive before, most of it will still be there, some of it is most likely corrupt. If you write files to the F drive you run the risk of over writing data. You should disable your F drive and you shouldn't mount it in gentoox or MCE.

The partitioning scheme might be possible with the new partitioning tools coming out, I haven't tried them yet. Although I wouldn't count on being able to mount any fatx space under MCE (apart from the standard drives)
If you keep an open mind, will your brain fall out?
