More space on E or F drive?

Post by thief »

Hi people,
I killed my Gentoox Indtallation cause I needed the space....
If I take the E installation, the space ist too less. If I do a F install the space is too huge and it can´t be used in Evox.
Is there a way to format the F drive so that I can use ONLY the half of it for Gentoox and the other half for Evox.
I tried fdisk and formatted to FAT32, but it didn´t work (somehow).

You CAN use your F part for Gentoox and Evox, but you cant use Native.
I think it uses about 4 gb.
Don't format to FAT32, thats for native. Just leave your xbox like normal, formatted same as it came, and pop in stardust. Run the F install, and dont flash the bios. Then put gentooxx.xbe in E, and evox should pick it up

Thanks for your help....
...but somehow it doesn´t work. If I try the F install, the xbox halts while testing the filesystem.
Here is what i tried:
1. I took the stardust and formatted all filesystems.
2. I took evox and installed on c:,apps on f:
3. I took stardust again, tried f: ...and it halts!
e and native would work...

Hmmm... sounds like something happened when you formatted to FAT32.
If you have a modchip, try reformatting to xbox default. Backup all saves, etc. and follow this tutorial then try again.
