emerging xfce4

I'm thinking of treating myself to a nice new clear xbox. If i use the new gentoox pro and install a front end will i have the screwed up screen problem. To emerge xfce4 do i have to run
"emerge sync && emerge xfce4"

you can install xfce4 on pro by running magic and choosing to install xfree and xfce4
If you keep an open mind, will your brain fall out?
