Need help with SSH (with pics attached)

ah ok, I didn't know that there was an appropriate entry in the bootloader. when I saw what looked like the "console" come up I figured I did it right and that linux was working, but just that the focus ship was being a pain.
Your simple, logical solutions to problems I blow out of proportion are not welcome here.
