init directories

init directories

hi...
i have a problem about installing vmware
the install script ask me :
what is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to rc6.d).
:?: :?: :?:
but i cant find this directories

can someone help me please

you should use emerge to install software
emerge vmware-workstation
is the command you need

yes..
i have installed vmware with emerge..
but there is a problem...
emerge has installed a new version of vmware (4.5.1)
but i have only a license for 4.0.5. and i dont want to buy
it again... :?

can i use emerge to install a previous version of vmware???

for some reason you can only install 4.5.1 or 3.2.1 there was a 4.0.5.6030-r1 ebuild but that looks like it vanished on the 20th March
you could have a look for a portage snapshot from before then to find the ebuild
