why deosn't gentoox take up my whole tv screen?

load up a terminal (xterm or similar) and type

su -
(password should be xbox unless you've changed it)
xbvset

then choose your video mode and resolution when you get to choosing HOC and VOC you will have to guess, lower numbers give less black border, too low and the image will be off the edge of the screen. HOC is for the borders at the side, VOC is for the borders top and bottom.
