Is there a limit to the size HDD(s) you can use with Gentoox

Post by 000g »

This may have been covered before, but I searched, and came up with nothing.

I ask because a friend is asking me to put two 500gb HDD's in his Xbox to use it as a server.

I mine, I have a 320gb, and a 250gb, and have never had a problem. So basically, what I'm asking is: does GentooX automatically format with the correct cluster size depending on the size of the given HDD?

Linux in general will support just about anything, its up to the xbox hardware if it will support those drives. Ive heard of someone (tho with a full native installation) running 2x 200gb hdd's so it may be possible to do 2x 500gb hdd's i doubt you will be able to do a e: or f: install and achieve 2x 500gb hdd's but who knows. And yes, typically the cluster size is automatically done, sometimes you can specify the cluster size you want
