home 5.0 and xorg ....

Post by b8zs »

I installed 5.0 and ran magic; then emerge -uDa world, and everything compiled fine, but when I reboot I am getting these X errors:

http://pastebin.ca/88618

The version of Xorg I have is:

http://pastebin.ca/88652

my make.conf is:

http://pastebin.ca/88660

If you need any other configs I will gladly post them.

Im an X noob, but I was thinking about just commenting out the VNC stuff, since I will never user it.

Also im not sure about the "screen" part, or the rest of the modules. Normally after magic runs and updates the WM it sets up X for me, so I have become dependant on magic to fix my X woes.

Helllp!

Thanks,
B8zs

My suggestion would be to run "xbvset", fill in the blanks and it _should_ reboot and work (I hope!) Xorg 7.0 was made stable about a day after I released Home and Pro, so I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet.
