I have used the mechinstaller from xbox-linux on my xbox.
It installed find.
Once telneted into the xbox ->
When I mount the contents of the stardust ISO, I can't execute the default.xbe file.
Is it imposible to run Gentoox on a xbox without a modchip and no TSOP flash.
And if so why would the 2MB "xbox-linux" verision of linux run.
Thank you.
Install via mech-installer on a non moded xbox.

It's entirely possible. I used a similar trick, however it was mechinstaller packaged with a bios loader... It took advantage of an exploit in the cd player... Not sure how legal it all is, and I have no intention to offend, so I'm not going to go into details.. But yeah, keep looking if you haven't found something.
Thank you very much for your reply.
This is what happens when I try and execute default.xbe from the stardust.iso.
(none) cdrom # ls
Cromwell Xromwell distro.rar isolinux.boot vmlinuz
Stardust BIOS default.xbe initrd.gz linuxboot.cfg
(none) cdrom # ./default.xbe
XBEH,.xxH«Fý¨¶Pl[ ÐLinuxÀÿÿ6¦MµoRM^i6v¡¤#Ö

ÑéôÈDËÃ: No such file or directory
ÿÏÿÏöPè: No such file or directory
./default.xbe: 2: Syntax error: newline unexpected
This looks like some kind of syntax error to me. Is there another syntax that I need to use too execute xbe code. Anybody.

The .xbe NOBODY USES because it requires an illegal dashboard to run, AND NOBODY ON THIS FORUM ENGAGES IN ANY SORT OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITY. So, to boot Gentoox, you're not looking to load the .xbe /from/ Stardust, as it is not a Linux binary.
