FatX Browsing!?!

Post by bobbyaustin »

I have installed home v2.1 to my e: partition and everything is now running fine, except when I try to browse the fatx f: partition nothing at all shows up and the same problem with d: cdrom, I can access the e: part but none of my media is installed there - anyone else having this problem or know of how to fix would be great.

cheers Bob.

woot i know this either you don't have a f drive
or you don't have permision

if you have a f: drive do this
"su -"
then enter "xbox"
then you should be able to browse f

if you want a program like mplayer to have access to f
put "sudo " before the program on the link/in bash

Is it mounted?

Code: Select all

mount /mnt/fatx/f
Look in /etc/fstab for mounts on boot.

Yeah it is mounted - I think I tried logging in as root last night but it was very late so it gets a bit hazy!!

Will try that again when I finish work and thanks for the sudo command for mplayer etc as all my extra files are on f:
