I'm quite aware of what MSN Is(Do you even know what MSN Stands for?), and GAIM is a multi Protocol Client,

QUOTE from GAIM Site
Gaim is a multi-protocol instant messaging client for Linux, BSD, MacOS X, and Windows. It is compatible with AIM (Oscar and TOC protocols), ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, and Zephyr networks.

I agree that AOL sucks, infact I think they are the worst ISP ever. But the AIM client is awesome.

Check out Alvaro's Messenger (amsn) it's in the portage tree, supports everything but voice, cam, and games for msn. Pretty nifty stuff.

I agree. aMSN is really nice, and, just a few weeks ago, had a big update.

Yep, I'd go for aMSN too, also use that on my pc. The "looks and feels" are quite the same as in MSN itself, only hasn't got game/audio/cam support etc, but who'd use that on xbox?
GAIM and Trilian are good clients too.
