Install Issues

I'm installing Gentoox and it gives me the "kernel panic=kill init" What's up with this? Do I have to Ftp into my Xbox or do I really have to finallize the cd before installing. I've been at this for 4 days now with no luck. I'm running Evox and with a Chameleon Mod-chip and 1.0 xbox. Any help would be a great help!
