Okay, here's my try at some backgrounds. They all have the same main parts, I just changed some colors, etc. They are all 800x600 and are png, but I also have them psd's if anyone wants them.

My first design, mostly blue/black background with white in center.

Same as before, but inverted gradient in the backgound and white text.

The extra spacing in the bottom is meant to be covered by the taskbar.

Make sure you grab the neccessary font also.

Personally, I like dantax's submission. It looks like he put a lot of effort in that one. Anyways, this is my final submission as I'm going out of town for a few days. Enjoy.
