Gentoox FTP installation help please.....

Post by declaration »

I have installed Gentoox using the ftp method in the tutorial section on this site.

I think everything has been done correctly, except the linking of Gentoox.xbe to evox. Do i need to do this or can i just launch Gentoox.xbe using xtoolbox etc.

When i have tried to do this, evox just restarts.

Sorry if this is a newbish questions, and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

i have the same problem i think.

i have searched the forum quite well i guess,
i was doing the tutorial too blindly and copy pasted the evox line with a missing \ in the drive link
i decreased the screen resolution to 640.480
i know about disabling the IGR (in game reset, just for the guy above me) but that really doesn't work for me.

i do get about 5 seconds of harddisk activity so it is trying something.

i have evox v+3935 and am using an original harddisk.

p.s. ive been trying xebian too, that was not designed vor an ftp install, that loads but gives a kernel panic because it was trying to access the cdrom drive with the image

anyone got some bright ideas?

Please dont mention/refer to Illigal Xbox software in your posts.
