Bummer. Guess I can't be much help then... I'm too broke to buy an hdtv, so I've got no experience with 'em. hehe
Best of luck getting it to work though. Hope it turns out to be something simple.
Just a thought: it's always good to describe what you've already tried in your post for help.

Sorry to say, the portage snapshot isn't precompiled. In fact, it's not even the source; it only contains instructions for 'emerge' to download and install each package.
If every package in portage was compiled and then put in a tar, the immensity of that tar file would actually create a black hole.

1. A quick stop to rtfm would tell you that the files need to be placed on the E drive (not in a subdirectory). 2. SSH is a way of connecting to a machine over a network, so no, you don't need a mouse and keyboard. 3. msnyder is right. It's what I did. The whole reason I started using Gentoo linux i...

Lets just agree that Shallax put a lot of work into Gentoox, and has earned the right to at least be involved in any official implementation of Gentoo on the xbox. I'm sure that's what we're all saying here. Personally, I think Gentoo is a great distro, and I'm thankful that Shallax has put so much ...

grammar* Ah sigh... three hours later and I'm still here at my computer... correcting spelling. I think I'm going to go shower and go outside. Perhaps that's what we all need in order to be civil... oh, what's this. Someone else has posted just now (before I could submit this one)... it's _mi...

(This is sort of funny really. I almost don't want these kids banned for entertainment purposes.) _mikec_ (and you too jakin, if you're still hangin' around) I made my first post on this forum months ago. You should read it: http://forums.shallax.com/viewtopic.php?p=2478#2478 . Linux is n...

I've never used ccache but distcc works the same as in regular Gentoo. Magic just runs emerge, so it works with distcc. Unfortunately, some of the bigger packages (mozilla, kde) don't take advantage of distcc (others, still, error with it. You may find yourself having to disable distcc to get a few ...

Is there something you can do about that double-spacing? It's really bugging me; thanks. More importantly: The reason there are no 3D drivers for Linux on the Xbox. I'm not sure if you know how a computer works, but here's a rough outline: Software interacts with hardware through things called drive...
