Thats cool! I have a G:\ drive :). Is magic f-drive failsafe now? Does it move all files (rootfs, swap etc ok) because I tried it once and it didn't move any files (maybe this update fixs all that).

What happens if anything goes wrong, anyway to recover.

Use PHPMyAdmin to insert the SQL file. Much easier.

Yes so you can run magic and get the xbvset updates for the focus chip after you have installed. SSH is so wonderful these days.

Erm, does this allow me to convert my Gentoox install from E:\rootfs to say G:\ without complicated stuff and commands like? Does it kind of work like the magic-f and magic-e drive scripts? * /dev/hda55: F with G partition over 137 (LBA28) * /dev/hda56: G partition (LBA48) Erm, bit newb here but I d...

LOL. Shallax is right, can't force for that amount of money (though it would be nice hehe).

I'm lucky I just have a version 1.1 xbox no troubles what so ever.

Glad to see focus support coming though because I might be buying a second Xbox just for Linux dev and it might come with a focus chip :o.

Also, make sure you have properly copied over your mounted 'rootfs' loopback to the /dev/hda56 partition before attempting to reboot with the new settings. I personally used 'mc' to do the copy, while manually creating the '/mnt' tree and '/proc' directory, but you can also use 'rsync', 'tar', 'cpi...

Putting the 'rootfs', on /dev/hda56, was a snap with only minor changes to the following files: 1) linuxboot kernel vmlinuz append root=/dev/hda56 pci=biosirq kbd-reset video=xbox:800x600,nohwcursor,hoc=X,voc=Y and 2) fstab Change the '/dev/loop/0' line to: /dev/hda56 / reiserfs defaults,errors=rem...

Cause he wants it to go backwerds thats why. To make it stand out so users can see it quickly before they start posting about magic. I think it looks good.
