Hi, I soldered a VGA connector and a mode selector switch in my XBOX. Now, when booting linux, my text framebuffer is all green! If I turn off the sync-on-green mode on my monitor, it's even greener! It will probebly break X. Leave it. 3D accelleration is not yet implemented in Xbox Linux.

Real VNC TV and PC works great! Took a while to compile as things do on magic but it all works fine. great work Shallax on these magic scripts.

Hiya, just patched everything from magic (kernel 2.4.22 etc) and all went well. Though my XPAD (both controllers) have stopped working. Though i can SSH and everything fine into my Xbox so it's not locking up. Any idea what’s going on?

That sounds very cool, especialy if it was a 120GB drive :D. I believe you need gnome desktop manager log in to change the login. It’s documented at http://www.xbox-scene.com forums. Search there.

I don't think if you upgrade to 2.1 it will keep the settings. Your in the same boat as me, though I should have broadband soon. Get a mate with broadband to download it and burn the ISO for you. Cant you disable kde out of the conf file (foggoten the file name). Or just download XFCE as the desktop...

You see on the xbox mobo. There is currently 4 ram chips (2 on the top, 2 on the bottom). Next to them (not far apart) are to empty ram slots. You have to get the chips of an old Xbox mobo (preferably defective) and solder them on to the Xbox (a very hard task!). I think the Xbox Linux users help us...

Well First I downloaded camsource. And the Video Blaster Web Cam 5 wouldn't work (all though its detected under Gentoo and LED comes on, I used info center in KDE, now I use XFCE though). So I just put pwc /etc/modules.autoload and bobs your uncle. I put it under hid i think, as stated by JusKickNit...

Dude it works a treat. I followed JusKickNit but the file was autoload (why did you put a d in there) rebooted and it works. Hehehe. The image is a bit small though. How do I make it bigger. Works brilliant though!
