Writing drivers
Anyone know of a good place to start reading to learn to write drivers? I'd really like to get a driver up for my usb tv cap card through gentoox/mce

I edited the mceinstaller script (v1.1) and changed my starting sector to what used to be the starting sector of my G partition, fired up MCE, ran "Stardust" and let it do its thing. B/C I changed the starting sector I ignored the format warning and let the script run its source. When I go...

Quick Questions concerning the iso's
1) What do you use to create the iso's? I opened them up with isobuster and I saw three filesystems in the file.
2) Are the iso's normally bootable? b/c I had to take them apart and reassemble mine as an xiso to boot.

I unmasked then emerged the latest xbox-sources and noticed this warning (not verbatim) - The FatX driver is currently horribly broken. Writing to a Fatx partition will corrupt it. So I guess the 2.6 kernels are out of the question. However - would magic be compatible with 2.6 kernels (if they worke...

Upgrading the kernel
Is it possible to upgrade the linux kernel without breaking gentoox? I'd really like to use nitro's patched sources (plus the latest 2.6+ kernel would better support external tv capture cards)
