Couldn't tell you about the emerging since I just set it to emerge everything then went back to doing something else. Less than an hour, if I recall. Memory usage is lower than XFCE marginally in my testing (VNC logged in, console logged out sitting and text-mode login prompt). I usually go straight...

I assume you're excluding games that came pre-installed with gentoox?

Frozen Bubble is probably the most fun pre-installed game.

Check out happypenguin.org or linuxgames.org. Any games listed there that don't REQUIRE 3d acceleration should work fine on gentoox.

Can you use XFCE long enough to get to the "To KDE" button? If not, you're going to have to use "magic kde" from the command line.

You cannot directly boot windows 98 from any XBOX dashboard. Your best bet would be to install VMware (a commerical program) on linux, then set VMware to automatically start when your PC logs into X windows. What happens when you start X windows is controlled by a file in your /home/gentoox director...

Which cryptic non-user-friendly ancient-style command line do you expect to remedy this situation?

I suppose I could use nano to write a kernel module myself or something, but come on now. You're just trolling for the sake of trolling at this point

Thanks for the reply, Sniper Fox, but I already tried that. Although I have now disabled accepting ssh v1 connections. I really can't figure this one out. If I were to post my ssh_config or sshd_config would anyone mind taking a look? (I don't wanna just post it without asking due to the size). Che...

What user are you trying to su FROM?

If that user isn't in the group wheel, it can't su to root.

As that user, run the command "groups" from the command line to see what groups it is a member of.

If you'd like to add the user to wheel edit the /etc/group file as root.

If it were a fstab issue, I could have fixed it with webmin. As it's a kernel module issue (fatx driver), I doubt webmin would have a module for that
