I was emerging bittorrent inside KDE and my CPU usage rose to the point where the emerge froze and I had to (ever so laggingly) close the terminal.

Is this a normal occurance within KDE?

Yea, I missed the bottom of the Networking faq. I got it working now though. (am, in fact, posting from it). How do I get dhcpcd eth0 to run automatically, I have to execute it manually every time I load gentoox up.
