So, I ended up fixing the problem by gunziping the initrd.gz file in /e/. Don't know if is the best way, but it worked.

linuxboot.cfg contents

This could be valuable as well.. my linuxboot.cfg file now looks like: kernel vmlinuz initrd initrd append init=/linuxrc root=/dev/ram0 kbd-reset video=xbox:640x480,nohwcursor,hoc=0,voc=0 Before, i think it looked like: kernel boot/vmlinuz initrd no append root=/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2...

Can't boot. Error loading initrd!

So, I've been running gentoox for some time now (last summer). A couple of days ago I decided to magic update everything, and it did the kernel update. Thanks again, Just to give a wee bit of background on the two files.. /etc/conf.d/ntpd affects the ntpdate command ...

Re: Run time server at bootup?

Hi ShALLaX, Love the new look and it's so much faster! My question is how would I set up Gentoox to automatically run a time server at bootup? Often the time is wrong and I don't notice it until too late. I just did an update and then realized that the date and time were wrong. TIA, i assume when y...
