My bad. Got terminology mixed up.

What I meant is that I installed to the E drive using a standard 3.0 version.

Sorry.

I haven't really paid attention to the filename lengths that I've copied, but I've done alot through samba within linux to the fatx drive. I'll have to check some of the names. On a side note, I just got through recompiling my PC's kernel having added in support for the xbox partition and fatx. Hook...

I haven't switched mine to KDE, but I have a buddy that likes it better and his locks up under KDE.

I don't know if it pertains to the USB lockups I saw shallax mention on the frontpage?

Still puzzled by this one.

Nobspangle basically all I did was modify xbox.c in fs/partitions. I am running great under 2.4.22. I am using it mainly for Xbox...

I would like to point out that, using Terra's research, you can modify the xbox.c program in fs/partitions to add support for 48 (it once had it and "they" removed it). This is what I did and after recompiling the kernel, I was able to read a large (200GB) F partition flawlessly from both ...

Mozilla-Firebird locks up Linux

Whenever I launch the mozilla-firebird in my Home v3c under XFCE4, it locks up the screen (and any ssh sessions).

Anybody know logs I can look at to resolve this? I've been searching the web with no luck.

I was able to comment the 137 GB limiting lines out in xbox.c and recompile the 2.4.22 Home 3.0 Kernel.

It reads my 200 GB F drive perfect now. 8)

Yeah, since I run several of these forums, I understand the term and how it works. I'm sure you also understand you have to enter the right keyword combination. I did not have an option to delete the post so I entered a link to what I found. You should be able to see it just above your thoughtless a...

Linux and 137 GB limit

I've been reading around and I can't find anything to get around the 137 GB limit on the harddrive. I want to have it all on /dev/hda55 and the gentoox (home 3) I have is splitting to /dev/hda55 (137 gb) and /dev/hda56 (the rest). I see 191 gb in the dashboard until I drop a file on it in linux. The...
