Hmmm the Output of your emerge -pv xfce4 is rather strange because previously it said xfce4-base is blocking.
Well you can try to remove xfce4-base and then run magic again to install xfce4
# emerge -C xfce4-base
# magic

Today i used magic to update alsa to version 1.0.4
since then no digital-out works anymore. only standard stereo output via cinch.

it would be nice if there was some kind of script for compiling the kernel to output for native vga (pixel8's cable)

I still don't know how to get vga to work. I'm using a Pixel8 cable with a sync splitter.

d2 works nearly perfectly on the box you have to install d2 on a windows machine, patch it up to 1.10, then get a crack and copy it over to your xbox just run D2VidTst.exe and now you can play d2 :-) if there'll ever be a crack for 1.10 with battle.net you can even play it over the internet.
