My F: is 200GB on my v1.4 XBOX (Xecuter2 4983) and am using X-DSL's loopback option. Only thing is, you can't set the size to continually grow as needed. You have to set a fixed size for the loopback on install, but it works fine. It really just depends on your bios I think, knowing that it can do t...

phpsysinfo is more complex than I thought ... what a pain they've made it. Anyway, I made a simple html version of what I think it should look like, it just has an extra box below the vitals box for xbox specific info. http://www.mycubits.com/tuxboxcluster/xboxinfo/ Perhaps sometime I'll learn how t...

I've been looking into this tonight, I guess it is layed out like this. Xbox Hard Drive Chipset: UDMA6 Xbox Hard Drive Itself: UDMA5 Xbox CDROM Drive: UDMA2 And because the HD and CDROM are on the same chain (cable), they both run at *udma2 (ATA13) even though the HD can do *udma5 (ATA66) and the ch...

Picture of my GentooX with VGA Adapter
Just thought I'd share with you guys my GentooX setup. Ebay is/was selling those Innovation Xbox VGA adapters for $15 (USD) (as of Feb 2007), so I bought one and it works great. Since I am running pro however, I don't have X, so all you can see is sort of the terminal login info for Pro 4.1. http://...

So how can we make these changes, adding the boot or just changing to ext3 without foobaring our current reiserfs partition? My root partition is only 1.5GB or so out of the whole 8GB, could I like tarball that sucker and store it on the network somewhere, then re-setup the right file-system and unt...

cryptic, but ok :) yea I've looked there, but I can't make the cable. The scart adapter, when the case part is removed, all the pins are covered in hot glue, how do you get that stuff off? That is why I would rather just solder the vga wires directly to the xbox motherboard and just remove that scar...
