gentoox mce fully native

I agree that a fully native gentoox mce install would be more useful and much cooler than XBMC. I eventually broke down and bought a bigger hard drive so I could do a "g" drive native install of gentoox home on my OTHER xbox, But before I bought the big hard drive, I had some success playi...

emerge is the only tool I know of for isntalling apps in gentoox. If Open Office is a big concern I'd upgrade to the home edition - because it comes with.

I have a wireless keyboard, and I leave it in all the time... no problems. Could be something in BIOS. Are you launching the loader from your dashboard (xbe) or direct from a bank on your mod chip? What kind of connector are you using to connect the keyboard to the xbox? an adapter? What port? usb m...

I agree with orochi - if its greyed out it has to be an invalid path...

But its strange that it won't launch from a file manager...

Is gentooxx.xbe in the root of e? (e:\)
What other gentoox related files are in the same directory - maybe you're missing something?

as for resizing the partitions you should try xbepartition 1) Evox sucks XBMC should be everyones main dash board... or maybe avalaunch.... or unleashX... but those three should be enough... definately not Evox! 2) can you launch gentooxx.xbe (don't forget the second x) from a file manager? All thre...

split the problem in half

so... ssh works fine? Linux is up and running but your 32" Samsung LCD-TV is not accepting the signal? Have you tried just stright and standard RCA jacks? Have you tried all options in xbvset - even if they are "wrong" maybe you could get SOMETHING... NTSC - 640x480 Composite - 800x60...

if you use XBMC regularlly and have games saved on f - then the f option for the install would probably be just what you're looking for.

but I've always installed off the cd, havn't tried FTP

partition problem persists reference this thread http://forums.shallax.com/viewtopic.php?t=2254&highlight= after I installed gentoox native g: - my bios and dashboards reverted to "F gets all" - but gentoox would boot wonderfully. I opened XBpartitioner and skimmed off a bit of F: so t...

This post was made almost two years ago... and yet, I'm not aware of a open source XBpartitioner clone. @ ShALLaX are you saying that if someone were to come up with a OpenXDK build of XBpartitioner - you would add support for it? Cause that would be great. Native installs are so much better, but on...

native G:

did the change to START give you a valid install? I'm doing a similar setup to what your accomplishing with nkpatcher using XBpartition - whos partition table is compatible with my X3 bios. X3 Config Live, and XBMC both see the size of F: correctly - accurately scaled down by a few gig's for my G dr...
