Give this a try:
rm -rf /etc/make.profile && ln -sf /usr/portage/profiles/default/linux/x86/10.0 /etc/make.profile

Re: gentoox native install with min. kernel 2.6.12
Sorry, 2.6 isn't going to happen because FatX support is bugged. You would have to do this by yourself if you want it.

Re: Magic problem
That's not a magic problem, it's a problem with portage.
It suggests that you first need to run:

Re: Fave XBOX Games?
I think at one point it was the only one with an HDMI port, but that is no longer the case. So really, you're just paying for the black colour and the extra 60GB of storage.

Re: Installing with Xecuter 3CE
Just install Gentoox home in the normal way (don't "initialise" your hard drive and don't flash your modchip). Once installed, launch with gentooxx.xbe... then start messing around with it to install MythTV

Re: Did I screw myself?
If you formatted your hdd and only had a soft mod, you're screwed. You need to buy a hardware mod or somehow hotswap with a PC and copy all your files back.

Weird, I'd had no nvxbox driver issues with Pro. Well done for sorting it out, though!

Yep, just make sure you do NOT choose to "initialise" your hard drive. Also, make sure you do NOT flash your modchip.
