I ran Magic....6 hours later......no Virtual Keyboard!

AAARGH!

I can't login to my system as I have no keyboard, it was ok previously as I didn't get this prompt.

My pc can still FTP to the Xbox and I can still SSH, but I can't use that virtual PC thingy, it doesn't seem to be running on the Xbox.

Can anyone help?

try "magic fix xvkbd && magic" failing that it may now be in with displaytools
so try "magic fix displaytools1 && magic"

Thanks, I'll try it :)

Oh man, it's asking if I wanna do that full update thing again!?!

ARRRGH!

crap, it's now deleting tonnes of stuff!, all I wanna do is get the xvkbd back!, lol

Update.....

It's now not booting, I get the initial Gentoox loader screen, it clears and then it just does nothing, I have a black screen with no text :-(

I cannot FTP to it, there is no communication between the pc and Xbox, the xbox LED is flashing R/O/Y/G and has been dooing this for the past 2 hours.

Is there anyway to get the machine back up and running?
(apart from re-installing)

sounds like you might have had a bad kernel update
on the E drive there will be a file called vmlinuz and there should be one called oldlinuz.
If you have both these files delete the vmlinuz then rename the oldlinuz to vmlinuz and gentoox should load.

I did as u said but I didn't take note of the file extension (if there was one) and it is still the same.
