what ppl?
btw what can you do with a 733mhz, 64mb memory, no 3D.... anyway,??..run a server.
a desktop pc? um..good luck!!
i want to run a server with no GUI.. 'X'. after apache2 gets installed i'll use runlevel 3 to start stop the server.

Try running Openbox, instead of XFCE4. It will go faster.

emerge -av obconf:
configure.ac:3: version mismatch. This is Automake 1.7.5,
configure.ac:3: but the definition used by this AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE
configure.ac:3: comes from Automake 1.7.9. You should recreate
configure.ac:3: aclocal.m4 with aclocal and run automake again.
make: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1

Follow one of these paths:
- Do what it tells you.
- Emerge Fluxbox or Blackbox, instead.
- Emerge FVWM, instead.
- Etc.

am running with openbox now.
blackbox for win sucks, i hope it does not under linux.
with openbox you need to know the locations of everything.

Huh, if you download Gentoox Home V3.0c your on broadband, christ just leave it going overnight.
