how to uninstall a magic patch?

Post by Schultz »

I am running pro 1.3 and i just finally installed Xfree and after a little while when it trys installing gdm it needs an orbit update which this always fails in the emerging. I was just wondering how do i remove the xfree patch from the magic database. I know there isn't any uninstall option in magic as i checked.. and i looked at the magic-database file and it said straight at the top do not edit.. So i was wondering if there was any other way to remove this magic patch so it don't try to finish the patch every time i run magic?

Ahh.. in that case, just remove it from the /etc/conf.d/magic-database file "xfree-patch1" delete that line.
