OK from all the people i have talked to, they state their 720p is the only resolutino that they can use. All other including TV does not work. Here is a post from XBox-Scene. I can verify everything except the 720p settings since my tv does not support it.
HDTV - 480p mode - KDE 3.1

Screen totally scrambled and TV does not recoginese as a HDTV signal

HDTV 720p mode KDE 3.1
TV did recognise it as a HDTV signal
Screen viewable but geometry way off and with left side and bottom half not viewable
the screen is very hard to read and not very crisp as at all (looks interlaced) no where as crisp as gentoox fresh install with NTSC adn 800x600

X2VGA 720p mode KDE 3.1
Screen viewable but again overscanned did recognise as a HDTV feed

X2VGA 480p
Blank screen

TV
No choices worked any more

Maybe everybody doesnt have a clue? You cant just tell me "TV modes dont work" then expect me to magically fix it. Some debugging would help... what modeline has been put in the xf86config file, what about inside /etc/conf.d/xbvinit and linuxboot.cfg?

OK, I think what may be the problem is that my xbvinit file is blank. What should be in there?

Here in my linuxboot.cfg file

kernel boot/vmlinuz
initrd no
append root=/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 devfs=mount acpi=hw kbd-reset

and finally... Here is my xf86config file

Ok, that linuxboot.cfg is wrong, it should have "append .... video=xbox:480p,tv=HDTV ..." for your 480p mode.
