Does this still work? Is there now a better way?

I have a non-native gentoox install on my F: drive.

After using "magic newfs" a couple of times, I've become frustrated because I have files that are greater than 4gb in size, and the 4gb loopback partitions don't cut the mustard.

The procedure outlined above in this topic was written in 2005... Since it's now 2007, I was wondering if this procedure is still current or if there's now a better way to overcome the 4gb fatx limitation?
