dumb newb question

I'm new to gentoox and I want to install Limewire. I downloaded an rpm file for limewire linux. But, now I want to install that program but I dont know how to do that, I heard about emerge and magic but i dont know where it is and how to use it. heeeeeeelllllppp, i'm so newb

this is the first post I see of you, so I am not sure whether you even installed gentoox. (maybe thats why you dont have magic and you dont know about it)

If you did, please start with giving all details on what your xbox is and what gentoox you installed and what all have you did with that.

I installed Gentoox home edition. And I just tried to open it with a thing called terminal but it says it was not a gzip format. I just saw magic but i cannot open it.
