hi,

a search on gentoo.org forums could give you more clues.. I found one such.

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-15 ... ation.html

Should be system time or the files that you downloaded has a funny date/time stamp.

Hi,

Its a little work-around on setting up wine correctly.. it needs the program files folder setup defined in the config file and stuff. once all thats find, it will install ok. I had to work with it couple of times before I could install starcraft but its been a while since I did that..

Do a search on starcraft on both shallax and gentoo forums and you should get some clues...

Hi,

You would have to check your config file for wine..

Try to look at this link
http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/wfs ... ticleid=45

You dont have to follow all of it, just the place where it says config.. c_drive and stuff.. Just check whether your config file has it and that those folders are created under dosfiles..

also easier way to debug, use a computer, vnc into xbox and run it from that session.

hi,

yes I think I remember doing that search a long time ago. There is some setting you can put in the config file for making it a window screen kinda thing..... hope you can find it again...

I think I found it on gentoo.. when I searched for starcraft..

Jeremus i'm hijacking this thread for a quick question.... How long did it take you to emerge wine? My brother tried that out yesterday and the xbox ran that command for hours... I tried it just recently, and it's been going for 30 minutes. I'm a linux noob, so i have no idea how long these "emerge processes" usually takes... But hours for compiling an application seems, farfetched from my side.. So i'm wondering if we've messed up something on our side.

cheers, hope anyone can give me some... enlightment.
