Did magic, and reboot, it won't pass Gentoox bios

Post by albertyong88 »

Hello,

I recently did a magic, and rebooted, it won't pass the bios screen.

Put a CDROM in, and it doesn't load it either.

Please help.

By thinking around the problem. Put in the stardust cd and ssh in... or use resctoox to do the same.

The bios would boot the CDROM. I retried many times ... and for once, it started stardust, but sort of hang in the middle of booting.

I suspect there could be a DVD-ROM issue.

What do you think ?

I think my DVDROM is a Samsung
I actually have 2 xboxes, and one was running xebian, and the samsung dvd drive on that was reliable either.

I will try to clean the lens on those drives tomorrow and see if it helps.

I cleaned the lens, and it wasn't the problem.
I then unplugged the HDD, and it booted into stardust v1.3, and it wouldn't pass the 3rd line ...

Initializing device mode ... [ok]
Initializing modules ... [ok]
Initializing ...

It stopped there ...

Wonder what was wrong with it ?

I will try restoox after this.
