Yup, I agree...

It's the only version of Linux I've ever deemed functional. I don't know how much you have to do with Gentoo, but Gentoox works beautifully. Congrats.

ShALLaX you're the man

I'm currently hosting 2 websites with ftp support to upload content in the sites and it's working perfectly.

My ultimate goal now is to make a pop3 and webmail server for both of the domain names.

ShALLaX - I'd just like to toss in a thanks as well, especially after comparing your release to the Debian port - I can definitely say it is great software to work with on the xbox. :D

I would like to share my thanks to Shallax as well :) The Gentoox Home installation is smooth and I like particularly the pre-installed s/w such as Samba, ftp, etc. To top it off, the help that I have obtained from this forum is OUTSTANDING!

This is really the easier xbox linux adoption as compared to my previous installation of xebian which I am having some hard time to get the samba to work.

THANK YOU SHALLAX and other experts here like Nobspangle :D

Yep, GentooX is great. I wouldn't have really used any port of Gentoo if it weren't for ShALLaX. Excellent stuff.

And...

Woo-hoo! Another Rob Zombie fan in this forum! :P

This'll never get old. Thanks Shallax. The only reason I even started using Linux was so I could get used to what I'd have to deal with on my xbox. Thanks to GentooX, I started using Gentoo, and suffered weeks of trauma. It was worth it though :D Magic just blows my mind (esp after learning to use Gentoo on my own. On, I might add, nearly entirely obsolete hardware). I can't imagine having the attention span to put that much work into something. Speaking of which, I'm going to go make coffee and stop adding to this cheesy thread. Thanks again though. It's true: Shallax is the man.

Gentoox is perfect for an ootb installation!

But for the more experienced users I recommend getting a stage1 gentoo image and the gentoo-xbox-sourecs, takes about a week to finish. But its hardcXXXrXXX!!! (don't forget the xbox profile!!!)
