Bios doesnt match hardware

Post by hvwees »

I'm new to Xboxes, but not to gentoo.... so... new to gentoox..

I installed it and worked fine, so I wan't to put the gentoo loader in my bios.
I've got a smartXX in my xbox...

I flashed the gentoox loader into bank 2, but when I try to boot it, it say's "Bios doesn't match the hardware, boot anyways?"
When I select yes, gentoox just boots.
But why does he report this error and does work?
How do I fix it?
I like to have a autobooted gentoox system not that I'm at work and do a init 6 and my xbox boots into the dashboard.

ANy ideas?

It _MIGHT_ be because you have a 1.6 and are using the non-1.6 loader. Im not sure what checks Franz does on the SmartXX OS to validate the BIOS. My suggestion is to try Loader-v1.6.bin (from the Gentoox-Loader package) and let me know!

Thanks!
