Just like the title says.
Gentoox is kind of zoomed (where the edges are cut off). It makes it very hard to use.
I tried changing the resolution but couldn't see the apply button
Please help.. Thanks,
Alex
Just Installed Gentoox and it's ZOOMED
Dude - The ONLY way you can use gentoox on a 1.6 box is to add a virtual desktop setting in the XF86Config file. I have a 1.6 box myself, and so far, the only 'solution' has been to add a virtual desktop setting. This will allow you to scroll the whole desktop. As you have probably seen in the manuals, the video chip on the 1.6 box is a mystery to all, so we're stuck with 640 x 480.
Do a search in this forum or on the web under 'virtual desktop'. (on the web, add X11)

to ssh in .. you must have a ssh tool on your pc..
putty will do for Winders users..
and or use a *nix os
the file is under /etc/X11
it will be called one of two things
XF86Config or xorg.conf
aloso for Winders users is CYGWIN on CD.. http://xlivecd.indiana.edu/
this will also give you the ability to pass X back to a windows box.
but the command to ssh into gentoox is
ssh -l root <ipaddress>
if you need X passed back its
ssh -l root -X <ipaddress>
