HDD

Post by Devastator »

just a question here. i ran magic newfs 3 times and gave myself an extra 4000 megs of space each time, and im running azuraus downloading a 4.7 gig torrent and it comes up with no space left on drive after 1.7 gigs are complete. i have a 200 gig hdd in my xbox with evox and gentoox on it with a little more then 50 gigs of free space that isnt partitioned off for gentoox or used up. so, did i do something wrong? or are these new spaces all separate partitions, and if so is there any way i can combine them or allow myself to download files greater then 3 gigs in the same directory? . any help is appreciated, and if this is addressed in another post the could someone please give me a link, Thanks

They are seperate under /mnt/{nameGiven}.

You cannot combine them.

the problem is that none of the new spaces is large enough for it and the largest you can have is 4000 megs wich is 3.9 gigs. so can you get more space then that or is there no way to do it?

You can try using the fatx partition directly.

downloading to the fatx partition will work as long as your torrent is made up of files smaller than 4GB.

I had a quick look at RAID loopbacks but it just says

Code: Select all

# mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md0 --level=linear --raid-devices=2 /root/loop1 /root/loop2
mdadm: chunk size defaults to 64K
mdadm: Cannot get size of /root/loop1: Inappropriate ioctl for device
mdadm: Cannot get size of /root/loop2: Inappropriate ioctl for device
mdadm: create aborted

ok i tried it but i got an error with azuraus saying that it would not create the file. ive never been able to actually access the f drive ever since i installed bentoox it would either exit the file browser or go back to the root menu. is there any way to fix this of set it up to actuall work. ive already updated magic so i know that couldnt be it. i did an f drive instalation but not a native. anyone here know how to fix this?

if your rootfs is on F then only root can write to the F drive. Either run azereus as root or use sudo

ive only logged in as the root user and it still doesnt work. i can access the contents of the E drive but F just appears empty and i can not do anything in it and azuraus comes up with the error when i try using either the E or F drives as a save point.
