I really need help to use accents in the open office writer. I really need to type the accents and inserting them as symbols it`s such a slow an unpractical method. I hope there is a way, somehow, to set this accents on my keyboard, fast and easy, I don`t want to use Word any more.

I think you just need to change your keyboard map to Spanish. Google around for changing your keyboard map in Linux.

If you're using KDE, youll need to do:
LINGUAS="es" emerge kde-i18n
I believe this is in the manual.
