"please wait, while launching" and nothing happens

hi, i was searching since days and now i'll ask here:
I've got an XBOX 1.3 chipmodded with Evo-X and Avalaunch on it. I installed Gentoox from Stardust CD (before xdsl, too), but when pushing on the .xbe (the same with default.xbe for xdsl), nothing happens. I only see a screen saying "Please wait while launching Linux".
Do I have to install something else?
P.S.: non native install on e:, no flashing of bios
