Switch GUI

Post by vb_master »

Is there any way to swith the GUI from KDE to XFCE? I've just realized how slow KDE really is.

Just did that, and now it X Server says "Problem Parsing the config file" and "unexpected KDE." Sounds pretty broken!

"Unexpected KDE" doesnt sound like a likely error.

Try running "xbvset" and filling it in correctly.

Ok I just SSH'd in and filled it out. X started, I logged in, and the XFCE logo showed up. Looks goodm, XFCE is MUCH faster than KDE! Thanks for your help.

Ok, now that I got this working, when ever I click terminal, it doesn't do anything. What's wrong there? At least I can SSH in and everything.

Also, I read in the manual something about VNC, how do I get that started?

Oh, I'm surprised the Xbox can handle Ventrilo server!
