Choosing an install type with FTP install

Post by FlamingGooch »

Hey everyone, I just did an F: drive FTP install. I booted up the gentooxx.xbe and it's asking me for an install type. I tried doing this a long time ago and IIRC, I have to choose the HDD option. Right now the only options I'm seeing are DVD Boot, FatX, NetBoot, something else boot, and advanced. I don't want to format my whole dang HDD so could someone tell me what's wrong? I need to see the HDD install option when I first start it up and it's not there. Thanks in advance.

FatX is what you want if you did the FTP installation.

It shouldnt be "installing" at all. If you followed the FTP tutorial properly, it should just boot up - ask you for your resolution settings, then reset... then be done.

That stage isnt considered part of the installation, really.
