xbvset not found

Hi,
I just installed Xbox MCE 1.3 and is my first attempt at gentoox.
I have a big problem because when I ssh in and attempt to run xbvset, the program is not found. I am having a problem where a blue screen is displayed when playing DVDs in xine. I think it could be my video settings but I cannot change it when I can't run xbvset. Can someone fill me in? Thanks.

I just found out about displaytools but I can't even run magic either! I must have missed something very important....

Yes I am a newbie! Anyway, I should be working right now but of course I a can't stay away from the forum. I found out that there is no magic for MCE... So I started emerge --sync to see if I can find xbvset is in portage. If that doesn't work, what do I try next?
