FTP install

I did an FTP install went fine ran gentoox

login: root
password: xbox

expexted KDE to load but came up with this

pro root #

I have play with linux a little in the past but the distro's ussually logged in and went to a desktop.
Ok probally should have installed the home first.

Can anyone tell me how to get past this?

since you ask such a question i dont think you are gonna work with pro version... install home
