updating firefox

hello,can somebody please enlighten me on how to update firefox,I downloaded the firefox1.5.tar and i dont know what to do next.Also when i emerge sync,my screen goes black after about a half hour.

screen goes blank because its a screensaver, try

Code: Select all

emerge sync

then

Code: Select all

emerge -up world

this will tell you what will be updated and when your satisfied, run

emerge -u world
