Loading Sparkle

Post by rprockey »

How does one load sparkle?

I have loaded the latest loader, copied 'sprkrd.gz' to E:\sprkrd.gz (/mnt/fatx/e/sprkrd.gz) and copied 'linuxboot.cfg' to E:\linuxboot.cfg (/mnt/fatx/e/linuxboot.cfg).

I don't see sparkle as an option in the loader or in any sort of boot menu. I have searched high and low for an answer. Please Help!

Thanks in advance,
R.P.Rockey

Select "FatX" then a menu will appear showing "Gentoox" then "Sparkle". Note that if you are using Gentoox Home v3.1 or greater, then Sparkle is already integrated.

If you do not see the Sparkle menu entry, something is wrong with your linuxboot.cfg file!

Thanks, ShALLaX!

I had a native install and an older version of loader. After updating to the latest loader, I was still selecting native, I didn't think to look under FatX for Sparkle. After reading the reply it all make sense suddenly.

I'm now one step closer to rescuing the data from my older native install.

Thanks Again.
