I can't get RealPlayer to become a plug-in in FireFox

I've tried to install RealPlayer 10 from a .bin
I've tried "emerge RealPlayer"

I've manually insterted the .so and .xpt files into their respective folders under "Mozilla" AND under "MozillaFirefox"

I'm having no luck...each time I try to play an embedded .rm file a window pops up stating: "You do not have the appropriate "hxplayer"" or something like that.

I'm kind of clueless as to what to do. I also tried using mplayer to and doing the same as above, but I had no luck using that as well.

What am I missing?

same problem here....thought I'd dig up an old post that instead of starting new.....
