Home 4.0 is "more friendly to 1.6"?

I saw this when i downloaded. Yes, i have a 1.6. Yes, i have the overscan problem. No, i do not have HDTV available. Is there anything i can do to make the overscan any easier on me? Any changes i can make to XConfig or anything like that? I did seach the forums, but nothing really mentioned home 4.0

If possible, try putting your TV in widescreen mode. That made it slightly easier on my when I used my 1.6 on my regular TV. Or you could get a VD-Z3 and hook it up to your computer monitor. Not only is the picture quality better, but no overscan (or much less if any), and you can use the VD-Z3 with other devices, not just the Xbox.
