firefox, mplayer and xmms no longer load from the 'dock'

Post by inconsistency »

HI.

As some of you might know, I recently upgraded my gentoox installation.

I mostly use my Xbox as a server, so I didn't notice for quite some time that the 'dock', which includes launchers for xmms, mplayer, firefox, etc, no longer actually launches the applications :(

The icons have all changed to some weird default, as well.

I now have the applications operational, again, but the icons still don't launch any applciations.

For example, the command in the xmms shortcut is

Code: Select all

sudo xmms
If i actually type this in a terminal, xmms loads fine (usually after prompting me for my pasword)

Any suggestions as to why the launcher icons are no longer operational?

Not a biggie, I know, but I'd appreciate any advice
