Quick Questions concerning the iso's

Post by Chinny »

1) What do you use to create the iso's? I opened them up with isobuster and I saw three filesystems in the file.

2) Are the iso's normally bootable? b/c I had to take them apart and reassemble mine as an xiso to boot.

I haven't had any luck burning to cdr (memorix) so I've been burning them to ritek dvd-r's. I've read that imation cd media works well. I'll check it out next time I'm at best buy.

What kind of cd media have you all had success with

I have a samsung drive so I just use any old cheap CD, it wasn't a big fan of the ones with a bright green writing surface, but they still worked.

I use DVD-Decryptor (http://www.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?act=screenshots) in ISO write mode to burn to a Maxell DVD-RW.

Works like a charm with a Philips DVD-drive in the xbox.

[EDIT]
Changed Memorex to Maxell, which it actually is.
Ended up using TraxData DVD+R as initial burn failed to install propperly.
Maxell DVD-RW does work in the Xbox with Philips DVD drive though
[/EDIT]
